Almabrands and the Universidad de los Andes announce the creation of the Chair in Organizational Purpose, a pioneering initiative in the country that seeks to foster the development of conscious, responsible companies committed to society. This strategic alliance between the academic and business worlds aims to create a space for research, training, and the dissemination of knowledge regarding the development of purpose-driven organizations and the creation of sustainable value.
The chair will address organizational purpose from a comprehensive perspective, offering training programs for students, professionals, and business leaders, as well as conducting research that analyzes the impact of purpose-driven companies on society, the economy, and culture. It will also organize forums and seminars aimed at sharing experiences and promoting best practices in corporate responsibility.
“We firmly believe that companies can be agents of social and cultural change, and this chair is an opportunity to empower organizations and leaders with the tools and knowledge that will enable them to make a positive impact,” says Sebastián Goldsack, a professor in the School of Communication at the Universidad de los Andes and director of the new chair.
“We are convinced that, by working together with the Universidad de los Andes, we can help shape a more socially responsible and ethical business ecosystem,” adds Cali Trivelli, general manager of Almabrands.
The chair aims to become a leader in the academic and business worlds, promoting the creation of new methodologies and processes for defining and implementing corporate purpose. It is hoped that this initiative will help shape a new generation of leaders committed to sustainability and social well-being, who will be able to apply this knowledge within their respective organizations.
The chair will conduct two research projects each year, as well as organize meetings and outreach activities geared toward industry, thereby strengthening dialogue and collaboration among various social stakeholders. This chair will mark a milestone for the country by promoting the development of a more socially conscious and purpose-driven business environment.
